Message Basically you mount the plate with a single hinge at the top. You get it right so that the hinge moves freely enough to keep the plate vertical when standing still. However, when you accelerate, the wind forced on the front of the car will cause the well-oiled hinge to fold up and thus your plate "tucks" under and is not visible. This is a big deal in Japan where they have cameras that literally TIME your car entering and exiting parts of the freeway system. If you get there too fast, they ticket you automatically knowing you were speeding. Worse than radar and nothing you can do but hide the plate.
